Concrete Grinding and Resurfacing for Brighton Homes
Grinding is where most of our Brighton work starts. A diamond grinder takes an old slab back past the paint, the sealer and the tired top layer to sound concrete, and from there two directions are open. One is a grind and seal, which leaves the concrete itself as the finished floor, polished-looking and sealed against stains, and suits a cellar, a laundry or a rear extension with a slab in good shape. The other is resurfacing: cracks and spalled edges are cut out and filled, low spots are levelled, and the floor is rebuilt as a base for a coating.
Resurfacing is the answer for concrete that has been left too long, which around Brighton often means a side path, a pool surround or a garage slab that predates the last renovation. Once the surface is sound, an epoxy or polyaspartic coating goes on as it would on new concrete, with a UV-stable topcoat and non-slip aggregate anywhere outdoors.
