Concrete Grinding and Grind and Seal Inside Toorak Homes
A grind and seal is the way to get a polished-concrete look from a slab that is already down. The concrete is ground with diamond tooling to the level of exposure the owner wants, from a smooth, even surface to one that shows the aggregate, then sealed so it resists stains and is easy to keep. It suits an open-plan living area, a basement or a cellar, and it is a fraction of the disruption of laying a new floor over the top.
Where the slab is not good enough to be the floor, or a colour is wanted, a solid colour epoxy in a satin or matte finish gives a seamless surface that reads as designed rather than industrial. It takes a rug, furniture and underfloor heating without complaint, and it can be tinted to sit with the joinery and stone elsewhere in the house.
